Information About Our Church
Worship Service
Our 11:00 AM worship service is the highlight of our week. Worship is the Christian’s greatest joy and highest duty. It is the work God’s people do together to give praise and glory to God.
Parking
There is additional parking off the alley behind the church. That entrance also has handicapped parking spaces and a wheelchair accessible ramp that gives access to both the sanctuary and fellowship hall.
Child Care
We provide a staffed nursery for children ages birth to three years old during the worship service and Sunday School. Exit the front of the sanctuary through the double doors, proceed through the long hallway and downstairs. The nursery is on the right.
After the children’s sermon, children ages 4 through 12 years are invited to go downstairs for special activities. There is also a class for the 2 and 3 year olds. Children are welcome to remain in the worship service at the parent’s discretion. Quiet activity bags are available for children to use during worship.
Restrooms
There are two sets of restrooms. One set is located on the lower level behind the kitchen. There is also a handicapped restroom behind the kitchen. You may utilize the ramp to get to the basement by going out the middle door on the right hand side of the sanctuary.
The other set is on this level. Exit through the double doors at the front of the sanctuary. Restrooms are halfway down the hall on the left.
Hearing Assists
Hearing assists are available in the sound booth at the back of the sanctuary.
Sunday School
We have Sunday School classes for all ages at 10:00 AM. We would be happy to guide you to the appropriate Sunday School class.
Holy Communion
We practice open Communion, which means that you do not have to be a member of this congregation to participate. The only requirement is that you believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior. Holy Communion is generally served in the pews, and after everyone is served, we eat and drink together.
Membership
You may join Beechwood Presbyterian Church by baptism and affirmation of faith in Jesus Christ, by reaffirmation of faith, or by letter of transfer from another Christian church. One of these doorways will be just right for you, and our Pastor will be happy to explain them in greater detail.
Wednesday Night Services
We have an informal Prayer and Praise Service on Wednesday night with singing, a lay person speaking, and praise to the Lord God. Come join us.
